Western boots might not be everyone’s cup of tea in fashion footwear, but one thing’s for certain in that these boots have seen other designs and styles come and go while they remain a timeless item in most shoes stores across the county. Once upon a 60’s everyone was wearing what they then called cowboy boots, and then we went quite for a generation, although not extinct, and now, here in the 21st century, and it seems like everyone wants to get their hands on, or should that be feet in, a pair of these very fashionable boots, and by heck have they come back with some fantastic designs. There’s something quite unique about womens western boots which makes them so timeless, universal, and stylish.! Their demand has been higher in the last couple of years than mens western boots, or cowboy styles of footwear. Well, it’s not rocket science, it’s sex appeal. There is just something voluptuously sensual about women's cowboy boots, whether worn with complementing western wear or many other casual outfits.

Most fashion conscious folks now realise that both shoes and boots can and do show a lot about a person's style and personality. A great grandmother would most likely look a bit of a silly sod if she had a pair of women's cowboy boots hugging the ankles, but her granddaughter would probably be turning plenty of heads is she strutted down the street in hers.

Western Boots are Cowboy Boots right?

Yes, western boots are also known as cowboy boots but no one calls then that in the world of fashion. All you city dwellers should and must refer to them as only western boots. Calling them cowboy boots is just not hip and it's totally the wrong terminology. Now once you've decided on a pair of 'western boots' it's important to be mindful of the fitting. They will perhaps need a bit more breaking in than you're used to with regular shoes, sports footwear, and other types of boots. They will stretch somewhat the more you wear them, so it's a good idea to purchase a pair a little on the snug side to begin with. Don't worry too much, as the sales assistant will be well rehearsed on western style boots and should be able to help you make a right decision prior to purchase. It's a good idea to walk around in your new and hip footwear as much as you can tolerate to begin with. Western boots can take a fair bit of breaking in at times, and the sooner they become snug and comfy the sooner you can enjoy them and not worry about sore heels and aching feet. But that said, don't over do it and don't attempt to soften the boot yourself. Wear them as often as you feel comfortable and remove them when you sense a little discomfort. Allow the breaking in to run its course and they will become an extension to your feet.

Western Boots come in a Variety Skins and Fabrics

And that includes snakes skin and crocodile scales too! Just kidding, although I’m sure they could be. Controversial as it is, footwear around the world is made from a variant of exotic and unusual fabrics, furs, and pelts. Most modern style western boots found in western high streets, will of course be made from traditional leather, although the variety of hides will vary both in quality and price. You can find an abundance of different styles, colours, and fabrics in the latest style of western boots. The fashion industry has really gone to town on the old cowboy boot, and the drab old styles of yesteryear are but a distant memory. The detail of any good boot is found in the stitching. This fancy needlework can really bring out the style in a boot. Artistic needlework can be seen in various patterns, decorative shapes, and images, including cowboys on horses, birds of prey, landscapes and all sorts of other impressive designs. When you next feel the need or desire to purchase new footwear, why not have a browse through the lasted styles and fashions available in today's Western boots? You will surely be surprised at the quality, craftsmanship, and array of styles and colours to chose from. If you didn’t like them before, you'll just love them now!
